Hi, I am Vanessa co founder of Protek. I have been keeping and riding horses most of my life. In my younger days I entered shows/competitions and was also a jockey riding most weekend’s at local flapping meets. This is where I first met Keith, I was 12 he was 15. Many years ago I gave forever homes to an ex racehorse filly Soqotra and a young rescue Jet. Soqotra was straight off the track and very anxious and to the point of being dangerous. There was nothing there with her and I often wondered if I was ever going to win this mares heart. I was determined and I knew once I’d won it she’d would give me her all. She is now the sweetest mare you’d could ever wish for. Jet was such a sad case coming to me and was absolutely petrified of any human contact when I first had him but I vowed that I would never give up on him. I made that promise to him. With plenty of love, time and patience he’s now a completely different horse. He has an amazing personality and totally has trust in me. Both horses now have an unconditional bond with me like no other. They are my absolute world. My passion for the health and well being of horses drove us to get high quality supplements out there, unlike others on the market. This is where our formula Protek originated from, I could see from using it on my own horses first the benefits on their health and well being. This is why Protek was brought to market to share with other horse owners. My motto “A healthy horse is a happy horse”
KEITH BEVAN - DIRECTOR
Hi, I am Keith co founder of Protek. I was born in to a horsey background. So basically from a baby I was on horseback. In my younger days I was an aspiring jockey. I lived and breathed horses/ponies. Always being involved in lots of competitions. My Uncle trained racehorses and I rode my first winner at the age of 6 years old. I then went on to spend time in Newmarket with a family friend Neale Doughty, Grand National winner on “Hallo Dandy”. I also worked at Bill Marshall’s in my school holidays riding work and also flapping every weekend at local race meets. I have been involved in the racing world for over 40 years. Horses have always been my passion. I have worked in the supplement industry for over 30 years, manufacturing products for both the animal and human health market. I currently run the Cultech freeze-drying facility and am very knowledgeable in the industry. Having gained a vast amount of experience from my boss/owner Dr Nigel Plummer who’s a top scientist in his field and a world renowned speaker so this is how we got a high quality supplement out there so other horses could benefit from our unique formulas. Between the two of us this is how protek was brought to life.
